About the time I’d laid the still unfinished book at God’s feet, telling Him I’d finished it if, when and how He would like me to, I was given the opportunity to begin writing for This is the Day. Being part of this ministry has meant that I haven’t had any leftover time to work on the book and there’s no fame or fortune involved. I do it because I am truly compelled to share the things God shows me. In turn, I have been blessed beyond belief. The time I spend with Him in preparation has been priceless and I’ve been propelled to do something I love to do on a regular basis. It’s kind of… dreamy.
When do you feel most alive? Admiring nature? Fixing things? Talking with others? Nurturing children? Playing music? Teaching? Cooking? Reading? Gardening? Being part of a team? God has wired you with dreams and desires that specifically to fit into His plan. I believe when you do things that naturally bring you joy with no promise of earthly reward, and your primary intention is to bring God glory, you will be living the “John 10:10 life” Christ promised—life to the full.
”For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” (Eph. 2:10)
